The WILNOS HD401 handheld densitometer, was specially developed for measuring blackening in technical X-ray films. During development, particular emphasis was placed on measurement accuracy and linearity as well as user-friendliness.
The device can be used with batteries or mains power, making it equally suitable for stationary and mobile use. It has a large, backlit display. In mobile use, it scores points with its low weight and handy dimensions. The HD401 complies with DGZfP recommendation D1 ‘Requirements for blackening measurement devices’ as well as ASME SE-1079 and ASTM E 1079.
The device consists of a control unit with a digital display and a measuring probe for blackening measurements. The probe is connected via the Lemo-00 connection. The device is ready for use immediately after switching on.
