Description

The Leeb hardness tester can determine the hardness of nine different metals using the Leeb rebound method. In this dynamic hardness testing method, a small carbide ball strikes the test surface. The ratio of rebound speed to impact speed is directly related to the material hardness and can be converted to standard hardness scales such as Vickers, Rockwell or Brinell using conversion factors.

The digital Leeb hardness tester can measure materials such as steel, cast iron, aluminium, copper or bronze on the HRC, HRB, HRA, HB, HV or HS hardness scales. Thanks to the integrated impact body and the compact, ergonomic design, the Leeb hardness tester allows hardness values to be determined very quickly and measurement data to be stored. The generous measurement data memory, as well as the supplied software, make it much easier to document the test results. The Leeb hardness tester is therefore ideal for incoming and outgoing goods inspection.

Mismatch tests are also possible, and the rapid checking of hardness levels in hardened components is another common application for portable Leeb hardness testers.
